Welcome our new co-chairs of the International Outreach Committee.

Dora Babocs, MD

Dr. Dora Babocs is a General Surgery resident doctor from Szeged, Hungary. Besides her residency training and clinical responsibilities, she is also completing her Astronomy and Planetary Science BSc degree and her postgraduate degree in Space specialist in Live sciences specialization program. She has been selected for ESA’s Space Physician Training 2023. As a member of the Biomedical Engineering Group of OeWF, Dora also participates in Mars analog missions. She is a Scholar-in-residence at iGAINT, a National Point of Contact for Hungary at SGAC, and a Founder/President of the Hungarian Society of Aerospace Specialists (HuSAS). Dora's main interests are Space Surgery, Impact of Sex/Gender in adaptations to microgravity and long-term space flight, and deep space travel. She leads and participates in multiple international projects and activities related to Space Surgery. In her free time, she studies Japanese, Mandarin, and Korean.

Britt Wiseman

Britt is a first year medical student at the University of Alberta, in Canada. Her interest in aerospace medicine started during her undergraduate degree, where she dually trained and completed her private pilot's license while she completed her honors research in molecular and cellular biology, and in medical anthropology. She then spent a year flight training on Vancouver Island for her commercial pilot's license, while completing her SCUBA training. She has since started medical school, engaged in space communications research, started an AMSRO chapter at her medical school, and become the mentorship coordinator at Zenith Canada Pathways. She is interested in pursuing emergency medicine, and hopes to eventually complete a fellowship in aerospace medicine and work for a space organization. She is excited to see how the aerospace medicine community will grow over the coming years, and is so honored to be a part of it.
